The Demeter is the 5th ship in the game, costing 5.00e75 cells to unlock.
Unlocking the Demeter for the first time opens the Shard Mining Menu, which introduces Shards as currency that can be spent on Shard Milestones for resource bonuses.
After a loop reset, the Shard Mining Menu remains open and milestones are viewable and their bonuses stay active, but unlocking the ship is still required to mine and produce Shards.
The Demeter ranks up by completing Operations.

Ahead of the Curve Explanation[]
As the descriptions suggests, Ahead of the Curve gives more operations instantly in your next loop reset. However, its level and effect do not persist across loop resets, so doing another loop reset will start you back at 0 operations if you did not level up the install. It's text in parenthesis, (these operations do not give immediate shards), means that you will still start with a total of 0 shards on the next reset. Everything else that scales with operations is affected as normal.
Example[]
- You have 5 levels on the install (max level).
- You have 5 crew members.
On your next loop reset, you will start with 25 operations (levels * crew members), and therefore a 12.5% immediate increase to shards per operation (and other bonuses that scale with operations).
Evolution[]
The Demeter has 4 stages and can be evolved by acquiring crew. Each evolution has it's own crew limit and cost.
